How I work - FAQs
Q. Is a face-to-face meeting essential?
No. My services can all be done online.
Q. What is your working process?
After your initial contact about your project (by phone or e-mail) I then:
- Ask you to complete and return to me my project planner.
- I then give you a quote (this will be a total price, which only changes if the brief does).
- I also give you a starting date for the writing.
Once we have reached agreement on price, I then:
- Ask you to read and agree my Terms & Conditions (by completing the boxes at the foot of my Terms & Conditions page. This activates a message to my inbox).
- Ask you to provide me with written confirmation that you wish for me to proceed (an e-mail is fine).
I then begin writing the first draft on the date given.
Unless I need extra information, I won't bombard you with endless phone calls and questions. I generally just get on with it and then deliver the files on time.
Q. Do I have to pay anything up front?
No.
Q. Will I be given a timeline?
Yes. I will tell you when I will start the job, and give you an estimated completion date. In the event of a delay, I will let you know.
Q. What if I don't like the copywriting?
I will write a second draft. This can be a complete rewrite or just your required changes.
Q. How do you send the work?
As an e-mail attachment (Microsoft Word document format).
Q. What about invoicing and payment?
If you have not requested a second draft after receiving the first draft from me, I then invoice after 10 days.
Payment can be by cheque or bank transfer.
